Job Description
Support the Dairy Development Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing dairy development projects and programs.
Assist in identifying and evaluating potential opportunities for dairy development.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, reports, and other documentation.
Organizes and coordinates milk mapping in the collection areas.
Organizes and coordinates farm milk quality control and milk quality assurance at all levels from farms to milk collection center (logistics)
Organizes and coordinates extension services to dairy farmers in the milk collection areas.
Identifies and coordinates the training programs for DDP staff to adapt developed milk collection methods, systems of milk QC/QA, milk pricing and extension services.
Sets-up, organizes and implements the day to day updated dairy husbandry training courses to local farmers.
Organizes and implements projects for day to day updated methods of milk collection, milk QC/QA and milk pricing system and to secure DDP operations (maintain and growth).
Assist in the management of project budgets and timelines.
BA Degree in Animal Science, Business administration or other related field of study
More than 5 years’ experience in Dairy Business preferably in milk supply chain
Good communication skill (English, Oromifa, and Amharic language is must)
Energetic and passionate to learn more.
Good in building and maintain relation with farmers and other.
Good negotiation skill
Strong work ethic, willing to work long hours during busy season.
Integrity and a positive attitude.
Have Basic Computer skill (MS office word, Excel, and Power point
Location: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to field locations
