Job Summary

The Senior Tax Accountant, under the supervision of National Finance Manager, is responsible for maintaining complete compliance of all tax related rules and regulations applicable to the company operation from recording to filing and payment of liabilities.

 Duties and responsibilities

• Make sure to maintain the company has implemented proper tax deductions from all types of  payments and collections from all types of sales as per the tax law,

• Provide support and training for Junior staff for proper implementation of tax compliance matters,

• Make sure daily records have been maintained properly, especially for VAT and Withholding tax as these taxes are booked in a daily base.

• Checking for correctness of monthly tax records related to payroll, cost sharing, royalty, Reverse VAT, Technical VAT, and pension,

• Preparation of reconciliation required for tax filing to make sure leger/record balance are correct and complete,

• Preparation and filling of all types of tax returns on timely manner. Basically, payroll tax, cost sharing, pension, VAT, Reverse VAT, Royalty, Withholding and other taxes due if any,

• Liaise with all recording team for keeping proper recoding of all tax obligation and settlement:

• Ensure balances reflected on all types of taxes payable match with subsequent settlement balance:

• Reconcile WHT and VAT ledgers against monthly declarations/payments to the Tax Office and follow-up tax claims/ refunds,

• Make sure to build and maintain smooth and cooperative relation with the tax office,

• Make sure to easily process any services the company may require from the tax office, such as tax clearance or any other supporting letter we may require,

• Compile and maintain tax related documents, directives, regulations etc applicable to the company for easy of reference,

• Actively involve and provide information the tax office may require during any tax audit or monthly/annual filing.

• Make sure to actively participate in any kind of tax office trainings and implement required updates,

Competences

•  Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service 

Qualifications and Requirement

• Degree in accounting /Finance

• Experience in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred)

• Advanced computer and excel skills 

Experience

• 5 years and above in accounting/finance of which at least two years must be on tax related matters,
