Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (HFE) is a world leading organization committed to the treatment and reintegration of patients suffering from Obstetric Fistula and the training and deployment of qualified midwives to prevent Obstetric Fistula and other child birth injuries.
HFE, which was established in 1974 G.C by Drs. Catherine and Reginald Hamlin, has been caring for the women of Ethiopia for almost 60 years. Including our main Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa we have 5 regional Hospitals, Rehabilitation and Reintegration center and The Hamlin College of Midwives. We deploy midwives into rural health centers across the country and provide mentoring and other support services to these facilities.
Job Summary.
One of HFE’s Pillar is Rehabilitation and Reintegration. One of the RR’s activity is to run Women Empowerment Program which mainly works on the improvement of the social, economic, Psychological, Spiritual and physical well-being of the poor women in particular Fistula affected and the community in general. RR envisions seeing Those Poor Ethiopian women empowered. The mission of RR is to create conducive environment for those women to realize and utilize their potentials for sustained livelihood. The role will ensure that all the project activities and outcomes are aligned to realizing HFE’s Strategy on Women Empowering Program.
Currently, HFE is seeking to hire competent, qualified and interested candidate on Women Empowerment Program Coordinator who coordinates programs.
Develop annual and quarter action plans.
Prepare implementation guidelines for the programs under her /his coordination.
Work as member of Program Designing Team (PDT) and contributes in production of sound concept notes and proposals.
Conduct regular and participatory monitoring to ensure proper implementation of project activities.
Compile project quarter and annual reports and submit timely.
Strengthening partnership and networking with funding partners and stakeholders.
Responsible for efficient and effective utilization of project resources.
Maintain good team spirit and work relation with staffs, funding partners and target groups.
Committed to apply quality and accountability standards across program and organizational levels.
The Program coordinator shall be responsible for overseeing project implementation,
Provide overall leadership and liaison with the donor and other relevant agencies as appropriate.
Responsible for producing monthly project progress reports, Tracking and monitoring activity progress.
Will ensure activity implementation abiding with the set indicators,
Provide accurate and timely status reports and support development of external donor reports.

Place of Work or Project site: Desta Mender, which is located around AA, at Burayou Town, 17Km from AA
Employment Type: Contract for two years with possibility of extension based on availability of budget and performance evaluation.

Educational Qualification and Experience
BA/MA in Development Studies, Sociology, Gender studies, Regional and Local Development, Monitoring and Evaluation etc and any other Social Science fields with at least 5 years work experience for BA holders and 3 years work experience for MA holders.
Pervious experiences in the area of program coordinators and or Monitoring and Evaluation in NGO sector is preferable.
Have good track record proved by previous employers specifically in monitoring and evaluation.
Fluency in English is required
Good report writing skill both in English and Amharic language is mandatory
Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy partnership with funding partners, government partners and other NGOs working in partnership.
Required Skills:
