Job Description

The purpose of having Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PML) department is to plan, organize, guide and undertake the PML program/activities. That is he/she collect, collate, store, analyze data and report; coordinate and follow up the development of short, medium and long term plans (action plan, mid-term plan and strategic plan); lead and coordinate the monitoring, review meeting and experience sharing activities; provide technical support on planning, monitoring and evaluation activities, and participate in the project appraisal, midterm and terminal evaluation.

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Highly organized, attention to detail and analytical skill;

  • Computer skill particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point;

  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, participatory approach and sustainability.

  • Knowledge & practice of basic PML and research tools.

  • Proficiency in computer (Word processing, Excel; PowerPoint, other social Medias ;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English Language;

  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, and participatory approach and sustainable development.

  • Competencies:Respect, accountability, courage, excellence, building partnership, building commitment, contributing to team success, innovation, pro-active problem solving, analytical ability.

  • The incumbent is expected to establish and maintain good relations with all staff, stakeholders and partners at all levels. S/he will also be expected to have productive and professional relations with various technical and operation staff in the organization.

Job Requirement

  • Education: MA/BA in Economics or related.

  • Experience:   5/7 years of relevant work experience of which two years of proven experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation head position preferably in an NGO environment.

Duty station: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to field.
