Job Summary

The Program Manager is directly accountable to the Senior Program Manager and responsible for the planning, coordinating, directing, controlling and monitoring & evaluating activities of the Area Program Office. She/he ensures the quality and appropriateness of the program interventions; identifies problems encountered and advises on appropriate measures to be taken for correcting the problems.

She/he works for the proper initiation, establishment, strengthening and implementation of multi-thematic and multi-stakeholder community based development programs and responsible for maintaining good relationships with stakeholders to realize the strategic objective of the organization.

II .TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

Ability to facilitate and encourage collaborative teamwork, experience sharing, effective problem solving and conflict resolution;

Ability to identify and propose solutions and innovative strategies.

Proficiency in computer (Word processing, Excel; PowerPoint, other social Medias ;

Excellent written and verbal communication in English Language;

Firm belief in teamwork, and sensitive to gender equality, child safeguarding and disability inclusion and participatory approach and sustainable development,

Competencies:Respect, accountability, courage, excellence, building partnership, contributing to team success, innovation, pro-active problem solving, analytical ability.

Job Requirements 

Qualification/Education: B.A/M.A/M.S.C Degree in Social science, Economics, sociology, social work, psychology, Business management or other related fields

Experience: Minimum of 7 years for BA or minimum of 5 years for MA of relevant experience of working with NGOs (preferably with child and youth focused organizations).

Duty station: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to field.
