Job Description

The incumbent takes custodial responsibility for finished goods received and stored in the warehouse. He/she shall be responsible to receive, store, record and issue finished goods in line with the policy and procedures of the company. Fully responsible for application of FIFO on stock management and the cleanness of the warehouse.

Main Areas of responsibility:

  • Assumes custodian responsibility for finished goods received and stored. Checks the quality, quantity, weight and other measures of finished goods against other appropriate documents, receives same by issuing receiving notes with full particulars and signatures.

  • Receives, stores, records and issues finished goods; ensures that finished goods are protected from dirt, damage, fire, theft, etc.

  • Coordinates transfer of FG from production floor/ other Warehouse into the FG specific warehouse. Ensure proper record keeping and archiving for all transactions related to FG stock movement.        

  • Receives sales forms and invoices; examines and verifies completeness, accuracy and authorization; issues items upon getting signature of authorization. Coordinate loading activities at the warehouse for the cigarettes to distributed to the market.               

  • Places and arranges finished goods systematically in appropriate shelves and other storage locations, supervises and checks the safety, cleanness and order of same.

  • Ensure proper storage and control of stocks using FIFO method. Maintain FG stock report and ensure its updated and distributed to the relevant stakeholders on daily basis.  Also to ensure proper recording of stock cards on daily basis.

  • Checks and reconciles actual finished goods against bin card and stock card balance. Conducts continuous follow-up of stock levels and notifies supervisors and concerned heads of status. Participates in periodic inventory taking and reconciliation activities.

  • Perform other related tasks up on request.          

Job Requirements

Education:

  • College Diploma/ BA Degree/ in Purchasing and Supply Management or related fields, Basic English Language and MS Office Skill

Work Experience:

  • 3 years for Diploma and 1 year for BA degree holder in materials management or related field
