Now we are looking for competent Legal higher expert, for immediate hiring.

 Job Purpose

Legal higher expert/specialist's role is to advice and counsel both employer and workers on a variety of employment-related issues, including, training, performance evaluation, and employee rights and obligations. In order to maintain a positive working environment, she/he could also be in charge of settling office disputes and contributing to the creation of policies and procedures. Legal higher expert work to promote healthy working relationships between employers and staff while making sure that everyone is abiding by the law.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Help the Legal services’, Court’s Documentary & eye witness preparation and facilitate court attendants;

  • Facilitate other similar works and order of Office head;

  •  Advise & recommend on Policy & procedures improvement.

  • Attend & work to handle Labor Relation viz. - - Group relation (Between various groups of workmen, supervisors, technical persons etc.), -Between Employer – employee relation i.e. (Between Mgt & employees)

  • Advise & helps on incidents of major offenses’ handling, investigation & reports of discipline Committee;

  • Prepare charges against…, present & attend court litigation; guide & lead evidences organization doc/ eye witness  

  • Prepare allegation, Represent & Attend level of courts, at different Regional Govts & at city Administrations (AA. & D/dawa).

  • Handle Issues & mediate / negotiate tax conflicts at Regional Govt & City Administrations.

  • Will take part & Participate on Employee Induction & trainings;

  • Communicate Guarantors on failure of employee; prepare notice & charges;

  • Attend /represent Moti on any dispute resolution,

  •  Attend /lead company’s collective bargaining at AA & regional offices agreements;

  • Handle & work to resolve unfair labor practices

  • Help on immediate actions of criminal acts handlings;

  • Assist on Insurance claims & Insurers failures on property, Health and life coverages;

Representation and Legal cases

  •  Handles employee relation issues;

  • Assists Legal Advisor and the HRM  on court cases;

  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • knowledge of HR principles, office procedures and practices;

  • knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Law and other applicable laws;

  • Excellent in all office package and other software usage skill.

  • Excellent communication skill, persuasive, negotiating and presentation skill.

  • Excellent skill / fluency in writing and spoken language in English and Amharic is mandatory.

  • Proposals making & presentation skills are mandatory,

  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, punctuality are required;

  •  Principled personality, and able to complete without close supervision.

  • Confidentiality, honesty, quality of work are from very important skills.

  • Able to perform multiple tasks at once; ability to maintain good working relationship.

  • Skill how to organize & facilitate team function and to create well oriented team environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in law and

  • 3 & above years’ experiences in HR Mgt., out of which 2 years must be on similar Supervisory position;

  • Work Experiences from well recognized and reputable Business Companies, are advantageous.
