The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German implementing organization which provides services worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. We work to shape a future worth living in over 120 countries around the world.
The GIZ Office in Addis Ababa oversees projects in Ethiopia and Djibouti where GIZ works on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Federal Ministry of Nutrition and Agriculture (BMEL) and other commissioning parties.
The GIZ Ethiopia & Djibouti Risk Management Office provides security risk management advice and support to the Country Director and staff of GIZ in line with established practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
Calendar Management of the Security Risk Management Office (RMO) team.
Manage all SRM files in DMS, MS Teams, IDA and SharePoint, and transfer all relevant SRM documents to the respective folders in DMS, including the confidential folder.
Participates in internal and external meetings and assists with documenting and preparing the meetings by sending out the agenda and taking the meeting minutes.
Update telephone cascade as per the changes and updates from project teams Maintains the Telephone cascade documents ensuring that the information is up to date and all previous versions of the files are archived as per directions.
Coordinates all residential security checks, liaising between RMO staff and the GIZ AMA.
Coordinates all security briefings for AMA, National staff and Consultants.
Send alerts and manage the Emergency Mass Notification System (EMNS). Register new staff and liaise with security staff to improve participation.
General Tasks
Receive requests for services from internal and external clients, promptly prepares the required paperwork and ensure timely.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Professional experience
Proven administrative skills
Preferably no more than eighteen months of work experience
Other knowledge, additional competencies
Excellent communication skills to handle stakeholders with different interest
Strongly result orientated
Good analytical skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good English language skills, both written and oral.
Excellent computer skills, esp. Microsoft Office.
