Job Title: Fleet Safety Specialist

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of Fleet Safety Specialist and we are looking for passionate, capable, and competent candidates who are prepared to work with passion and focus.
The position reports to the Logistics Director and will work closely with relevant stakeholders across all plants.
This employee is a specialist that focuses on:
The minimisation of fleet liabilities by developing and implementing fleet safety policies and related compliance frameworks and supporting processes.
The effects and impacts of changes in road safety legislation, insurance regulations and practices that must be addressed to reduce risk and maximise compliance.
Improved fleet safety capacity and capability across the business through the provision of processes, frameworks, tools, training, and generic risk control measures to mitigate significant non-compliance.
Acting as an internal consultant on aspects of fleet safety and fleet risk management practices and providing
advice to the business and decision makers on the topic.
Gaining inputs for developing the short-, medium- and long-term strategy and annual plan for the CCBA Ethiopia fleet safety.
Integrating the fleet safety strategy with the organisational SHEQ strategy and other relevant pieces of work.
Ensuring that the Fleet technical specifications for own- and Third-Party fleets meet the required safety standards.
Identify the fleet safety risks that should be mitigated and the fleet safety targets that needs to be achieved by new solutions.
Acting as a project/programme manager for the large-scale deployment of new solutions and collaborating with colleagues in country to manage projects.
Monitoring the quality and performance of fleet services.
Leading efforts to evaluate the success of sustainable fleet initiates and solutions.
Mapping, documenting, and maintaining the current fleet safety practices and fleet risk management processes and making process and procedure information easily available.
Identifying the fleet safety practices and fleet risk management related competencies and capabilities required through-out the business and ensuring that the competencies are assessed, and training presented to improve them.
Developing and distributing handbooks, job-aids, and work procedures to support employees to adhere to fleet safety and fleet risk management requirements.
Acting as a coach and mentor to internal fleet safety and fleet risk management employees in all plants.
First degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
a minimum of 5 years experience in fleet with focus on the fleet safety domain
