About Dodai
Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated company originating from Delaware, USA that wishes to resolve the issue of lack of access to efficient and affordable mobility for gig workers in Ethiopia. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa.
Purpose of the Position
The Warehouse Controller for Dodai will be part of the manufacturing team and will be responsible for the overall management of the pre-assembly and finished goods warehouse within the factory.
S/he will be responsible to handle the recording and maintaining of inventory, advising the FOS on received and departed items. S/he will also be responsible to work with the team at the factory level as well as showroom level to ensure smooth transfer of goods in between the various sections of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver parts, E2W and batteries.
Oversee deliveries and pick-ups between the factory and showroom
Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required; supervise the assembly of inventory printouts and catalogs as required.
Operate a computer to enter data, correct errors and control warehouse activities digitally as required.
Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs; assist in the bid process for various supplies as required.
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees and assign workloads to warehouse workers.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Management or closely related fields
Minimum of 3 years working in a factory setting preferably with similar products (E2W, E3W etc.)
Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to multitask.
Outstanding time management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
