Main Responsibility

• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization;

• Comply with Accounting Principles, rules and regulations for financial statements;

• Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost;

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs;

• Analyze costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs;

• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect the prices and profitability of products or services;

• Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database;

• Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings;

• Prepare and complete internal cost audits and construct data accumulation systems;

• Determine fixed costs (e.g., salaries, rent and insurance) and record variable costs (e.g., purchases of raw material and operations costs);

• Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program;

• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies;

• Prepare and analyze report profit margins and budgeting reports;

• Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts;

• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions;

Job Requirements 

Skills & Abilities

• Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role;

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures;

  • In-depth understanding of IFRS;

  • Experience with accounting software, and Computer literacy in MS Excel;

  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail;

  • Strong time management skills;

  • Knowledge of using ERP systems;

  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information;

  Academic Qualification

• BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing or Import-Export sector

Experience: 5+ years of experience specializing in the manufacturing sector

Number of required Position/s: 2 (Two)
