Job Description
I Job Summary
The female-only internship program is a one-year program with the primary objectives of empowering young female graduates and impacting the organization's gender parity that provides emerging female talents an opportunity to apply knowledge and enhance skills through mentoring and coaching, expanding their professional network, working on value-added projects, gaining hands-on experience, and getting acquainted with the oriental difference.
II Responsibilities
The intern will work on different projects under the FWS unit to ensure full engagement and skill development through the different environments, types of work, and challenges.
The intern will engage in different construction works supervision and reporting such as the construction of school classrooms, VIPL, and water supply.
Involve in the development of specifications, a bill of quantities, bid and contract document preparations
Involve in checking take-off sheets and payment certificates
Engage in checking construction material quality and technical physical inspection
Collect and document WASH infrastructure constructed by the unit in s sequential manner both in hard and soft copies
Participate in infrastructure site assessment activities, data collection, and reporting
Participate in the evaluation of bid documents, cost estimation, and bid analysis
Participate in compiling field visit reports, monthly progress reports
Support in compiling WASH infrastructure data(Assessment documents, designs, contract documents( with donor, government & contractors) technical specifications, manuals, checklists, reports, learnings, etc)
Assist in producing a list of WASH infrastructure activities accomplished(Water and irrigation schemes, latrines, technologies applied (solar, Diesel, Desalination, etc) including project cost and beneficiaries

Job Requirements
IV. Educational background:
Educational background: BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, Water supply, Construction Technology and management, and related Engineering fields.

Computer skills
Motivated and passionate individual with outstanding communication skills driven to succeed and make a difference.
Respect and understanding for local culture and values whilst embracing and working within CARE international work ethics and standards.
Must possess high levels of integrity, resilience, accountability, commitment, and determination.
V. Language Skills
Required language/s: Amharic/English
