Plans, directs, coordinates, and most importantly, provides leadership to team members necessary to execute production activities in a manner that meets and/or exceeds the plan. This includes oversight of garment making operations, assigning daily tasks to the manufacturing team, including shift supervisors, to ensure the production plan is met. This requires knowledge and understanding of quality, productivity, equipment, and personnel issues that affect manufacturing performance, as well as safety and standards.

Specific tasks typically involve:

• Overseeing the production process

• Ensuring production is cost effective

• Checking the raw material quality.

• Drawing up a production schedule

• Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality

• Working out the human and material resources needed

• Drafting a timescale for the job

• Estimating costs and setting the quality standards

• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed

• Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment

• Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control program

• Liaising among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers, Finance.

• Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals

• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed

• Supervising and motivating a team of workers

• Reviewing the performance of subordinates

• Identifying training needs

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• B.Sc in Textile Engineering or Textile and Garment related fields

• Not less than 4 years’ of experience as a production manager, Proven track records in production management or managing all aspects of textile units,

• Effective management, problem-solving, and communication skills
