Job Description

An operations manager’s main aim is to ensure a company achieves the highest level of productivity whilst maintaining efficiency, cost, safety and quality. He/ She will plan, coordinate, monitor, analyses and improve services and production processes. He/ She also have an important role in motivating and retaining staff. Overall, being an operations manager is about keeping businesses profitable and on the right side of the law. Their duties also include hiring and training employees and managing quality assurance programs. An operations manager also strategizes process improvements to ensure everyone completes their tasks on schedule.

Operation Manger’s Key Responsibilities;

  • Direct the daily functions of an organization to ensure that it meets its long-term strategies and goals

  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures,

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

  • Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency

  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant

  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives

  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability

  • Manage budgets and forecasts

  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.

  • Work with senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.

  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.

  • Support worker communication with the management team.

  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Interpersonal skills – an Operations Manager must communicate with both executives and staff employees in order to create and administer policy

  • A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles, which allows the Operations Manager to assess the company’s earnings and spending to find areas for improvement

  • Strong personal and professional judgment, which are invaluable skills for a role that makes hiring decisions as well as in finding the best solution to organizational dilemmas

  • Adaptability, enabling the Operations Manager to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly

  • Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority, which are essential to a role that juggles a variety of functions and projects

  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role

  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

  • Experience budgeting and forecasting

  • Familiarity with business and financial principles

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Leadership ability

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Knowledge and Experience in Tour and Travel, Visa Consultancy, and Related areas.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in driving change management and process improvement initiatives

  • Good understanding and knowledge of the country’s historical places and cultural heritages.

  • Good command of spoken and written English is required

  • Knowledge of additional national and international languages is desirable.

Education and Experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Tour, Travel and tourism management, another related field

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an operation manager, with experience in managing complex & diversified business areas

Language Requirements;

  •   Fluency in English

  • Additional international language would be very helpful
