Prime packaging Plc is a new entrant to Ethiopia packaging and labeling industry. The company is aiming to be full-service solutions for any size project. We produce and supply – paper and plastic labels, flexible and rigid packaging materials and poaches. Our plant is based in, Addis Ababa, Kilinto Industrial park.

SUMMARY

Responsible for the setup, mechanical troubleshooting, minor repair and operation of a narrow flexo press. Perform setups, mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs. Responsible for the overall quality of the final printed product, as well as the overall condition of the press and press environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Perform setup on machines in a timely manner. Clean machine prior to setup and inspect the machine as a preventive maintenance measure. Review and interpret work order instructions. 

• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on machines and make minor adjustments/ corrections to ensure dimensions and quality of piece; monitor production. 

• Maintain awareness of schedule, achieving the best possible production speeds. 

• Perform maintenance tasks on the machine as needed. 

• Complete end-of-shift/job reports as required. 

• Perform other department operations (slitting/rewind, packaging) as required 

• Keep immediate work area neat and orderly. 

• Comply with company rules and regulations.

• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data. 

• Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department. 

• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

• Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum diploma graduate

COMPETENCIES 

• Thorough understanding of flexo printing in the label industry.

• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor machine repairs.

• Ability to apply written instructions to machine operation and product quality. 

• Good maths skills

• Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to work station

• Demonstrates positive safety attitude
