We produce and supply – paper and plastic labels, flexible and rigid packaging materials and poaches. Our plant is based in, Addis Ababa, Kilinto Industrial park.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flexo Supervisor to join our team. The Flexo Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to flexographic printing operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a focus on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and lead a team of flexographic printing operators and assistants. 

• Coordinate and schedule production orders to ensure timely and efficient execution. 

• Set up and operate flexographic printing presses, including plate mounting, color matching, and registration adjustment.

• Monitor printing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and make necessary adjustments to maintain print quality. 

• Conduct regular inspections of printed materials to identify defects, color variations, or other quality issues. 

• Troubleshoot printing equipment and address any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.

• Train and develop team members on proper printing techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. 

• Maintain inventory of printing supplies, including inks, plates, and other consumables, and coordinate reordering as needed.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as prepress, finishing, and shipping, to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery. 

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. 

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing process enhancements to optimize productivity and reduce waste. 

• Maintain accurate production records, including job tickets, run sheets, and quality inspection reports.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience as a Flexo Supervisor or similar role in a printing or packaging environment. 

• In-depth knowledge of flexographic printing processes, equipment, and materials. 

• Proficiency in setting up and operating flexographic printing presses. 

• Strong understanding of color management and ink formulation. 

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 

• Effective leadership and team management abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in using computer software and systems related to printing operations.
