The position of Data Analyst at Sandford International School is of the utmost importance. We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst to turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into professional decisions.

Reporting relationships.

   The School Data Analyst is directly responsible to the School Data Manager.

Duties

• Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, developing analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements

• interact with Data Manager, Teachers, staff, and other constituents to collect data and report.

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

•  Provide support for constituents attempting to access web services

• Analyze reporting requirements and design reports accordingly

• Produce data reports as assigned in an accurate and timely manner

• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

• Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports

• To prepare any reports etc. requested by the Data Manager/Head of School.

• To contribute to school development discussions and contribute to the improvement of any policies and procedures in SIS

• To maintain all records of work including student grades and assessment records.

• Liaise with Teachers and Department heads.

• To assist with any other duties as delegated by the Data Manager.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Education

• MSc or BSc Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Project Management, related field

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience in managing data with application software

• Proficiency with Microsoft application suites.

• Experience and Knowledge and understanding of current educational and other affairs/issues relevant to the School.

•  Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy - Attention to detail 

• Ability to innovate and manage time efficiently 

• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in both written and spoken English
