Job Description

The Furniture department's sales and marketing manager is responsible for leading their team of professionals who are involved in the sales and marketing activities of the company. They track market developments, create strategies, set up sales plans, and maintain customer relations. In addition to managing staff, the sales and marketing manager’s job responsibilities include developing and researching marketing opportunities and sales strategies to ensure that these responsibilities are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing sales and marketing strategies and communicating job expectations by analyzing the existing gap, planning, monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing job contributions

  • responsible for managing, developing, coaching, controlling, and motivating the sales force to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and that monthly sales targets and KPI targets are met.

  • Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information.

  • Maintain updated customer information, including contact data, and organize the CRM database of the company.

  • Collect and analyses data on customer preferences and factors affecting product demands, and make business-oriented recommendations to the company.

  • Conduct market intelligence, analyses competitors’ strategies, and report the same along with recommendations.

  • Provide knowledge of merchandise to customers by explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and providing purchasing advice to customers.

  • Provide superior customer service and support to the production system to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales.

  • Assess the SWOT analysis of the internal and external sales and marketing environments of the company.

  • Train (Supervise) and motivate sales staff to ensure that optimal levels of customer engagement are met.

  • Achieves marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertisements.

  • Identifies marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements.

  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.

  • Sustain rapport with key accounts and showroom performance by making periodic visits.

  • Provides information and strongly participates in different bids.

  • Manage, lead, and understand the company's advertising and promotion plans in order to accurately explain them to customers and sales staff.

  • Actively participating in the recruiting and interviewing process for all new employees.

  • Conduct sales meetings with the staff regularly and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.

  • Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualification 

  • MA or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Architecture, Interior Design, and Furniture Design related field from recognized university.

Work Experience

  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience for MA or six (6) years for BA, including at least two (2) years of managerial experience in similar organizations, is required for both.

Skills and behaviors

  • Desired skills for furniture sales associates include Details, Finishes, options, Pricing, Pricing and local competition, products, and product pricing.

  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and other designing software)

  • Proven ability to priorities and initiate follow-through

  • Independently motivated but also able to work closely and collaboratively as a member of a highly interdependent team.

  • The ability to make sound decisions provides effective leadership, and paying close attention to detail

  • Relevant working experience in furniture field is preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
