Job Description
· Receive, review, and process invoices for payment: This includes verifying the accuracy of the invoice information, matching it to a purchase order, and ensuring that the invoice is approved for payment.
· Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure accuracy of pricing and quantities: This is an important step to ensure that the company is not overpaying for goods or services.
· Reconcile accounts payable balances on a monthly basis: This involves comparing the balance of the accounts payable ledger to the balance of the vendor statements. Any discrepancies must be investigated and resolved.
· Prepare and submit payments to vendors: This includes creating and submitting payment requests, as well as tracking the status of payments.
· Communicate with vendors regarding payment status: This includes responding to vendor inquiries about payments, as well as providing updates on the status of payments.
· Investigation and resolve invoice discrepancies: This may involve contacting vendors, reviewing purchase orders, or examining invoices.
· Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions: This includes keeping track of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
· Provide support to other members of the finance team: This may involve providing assistance with data entry, preparing reports
· Bachelor's degree in accounting and Finance
· 4+ years of experience in accounts payable
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
· Experience with P2P payments
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP- accounting software
