Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in Performing and controlling the full audit cycle including risk and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations;

• Conduct regular audits to ensure up-to-date financial records are kept and finance procedures are followed strictly;

• Encode all payments, bank transfers and collections to Peachtree accounts

• Reviewing the company’s accounting procedures to ensure that they are being followed correctly

• Monitoring cash flow and identifying problems with cash flow in order to prevent problems from occurring in the future

• Carry out a compliance audit for the organization to ensure its compliance with the legal and statutory requirements of the country;

• Performing audits of financial records to ensure that they are accurate and comply with regulations

• Reviewing financial records for accuracy and identifying any potential issues that may require further investigation

• Identifying any errors in accounting practices or procedures and recommending solutions

• Follow up on findings and recommendations agreed upon internal audits to ensure they are implemented in accordance with the audit reports;

• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards

• Ensure a proper system of documentation of audit work papers and references as required;

• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job requirement

Required Skills

Academic Qualification:

• MA or BA Degree in Accounting and Finance 

Additional Skills:

• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases

  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data to compile detailed reports

  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations

  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

Experience:2+ years of experience in Agricultural sector  

Salary: Negotiable
