Job Summery

The jobholder plans, organizes, directs, leads and coordinates the legal service activities of the Bank. S/he develops and implements litigation and debt recovery strategies to recover the bank’s assets in cases of unpaid loans and outstanding debts. Oversees negotiation, settlement, and alternative dispute resolution attempts as required for cases against or by the bank; provides input in the development of the Bank’s long and short term strategic and operational plans and policies. The jobholder will also identify, develop, deploy and retain staff within the directorate through effective talent management.

Job Requirement

Qualification & Experience:    LL B Degree in Law or Masters Degree (added advantage) plus a Minimum of 12 (twelve) years’ legal experience ideally in a leading organization. proven track record in

• Providing accurate and effective legal counsel

• Contract negotiation and drafting

• Adding value to an organization through the development of comprehensive contract documents that mitigate risk and penalties
