We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants.

As Senior Accountant responsibilities include:

• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices

• Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations

• Responsibilities Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Work closely with the account executive in payment collection and receivable

• Collect receipts from vendors and arrange payments.

• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

• Assist with other accounting projects

Job Requirements

• Proven 5 years’ experience as a Senior accountant

• Excellent organizing abilities

• Great attention to detail

• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (Peachtree accounting)

• BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field

• Professional attitude and appearance

• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Peachtree and advanced MS excel.
