We provide direct care for those who have been tortured, train partners around the world who can prevent and treat torture and war trauma, research and advocate for human rights and end the practice of torture. General Description of Role

This is a full-time position. The Assistant M&E is responsible for the entry and checking of confidential clinical data, assisting in conducting client satisfaction surveys, prepare monitoring tools, draft reports, as well as facilitation of setting up and gathering data from online training activities. The Assistant M&E will report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator in Shire.

Main Responsibilities

Assistant M&E Officer Tasks:

• Data Entry: Under the supervision of the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, review, enter, clean, and back up electronic records of clinical activities and client assessment data. Ensure the secure storage of electronic client data and their confidentiality.

• Support Collection of Clinical Data: Maintain original, blank, paper copies of the clinical assessment forms and ensure that a supply of adequate paper forms is available as needed by clinical and counseling staff.

• Other Data Related Tasks: Support the Program M&E Coordinator in some tasks related to data management and regular reporting for internal or external audiences.

• Facilitation of CVT online training courses: Set up online training courses created by clinical team, ensuring mechanism to collect information on participants and their pre- and post-test scores.

• Other Office Support Related Tasks: Provide support for M&E and clinical team as assigned by the M&E Officer nd Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinator.

Location: CVT Healing Center in Shire, Tigray, Ethiopia. Travel to additional CVT field centers as necessary.

Terms of Employment: the contract is effective from August 2023 through February 2024 depending on funding availability.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Diploma in Information technology or related.

•  Three years’ experience at minimum

• Excellent computer skills, especially strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Must be fluent in Tigrigna, Amharic and English, written and spoken.

•  High level of attention to detail.

• Able to work independently, self-motivated.

• Able to maintain confidentiality.

•  Good team player: able to take direction and work collaboratively with others.

• Flexible and able to adapt to change.

•  Willing to travel with in the operation areas.

Desired:

•  Experience in data entry.

• Experience with online surveys, such as Alchemer.

•  Degree or other certifications in social science, computer science, program evaluation, etc.
