SHS (Sustainable Healthcare Solutions P.L.C.) is a privately owned company that is venturing into the Business of the import and distribution of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment in Ethiopia.
SHS needs to hire qualified personnel for the following vacancy:
Job Title: Store Manager (Pharmacist)
Job Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of medical supplies and medical equipment storage, maintaining proper inventory, and preparing regular reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage and Receive pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
· Manage proper product storage.
· Manage inventory and store cards; Inspect product quality before distribution.
· Control storeroom and refrigerator temperatures and humidity.
· Responsible for the safe and proper storage and supply of medical supplies and medical equipment for the company.
· Follow and ensure the warehouse and storage activities are in line with pharmaceutical and medical storage guidelines, or Storage SOP.
· Together with the logistic section hand over all medical supplies and medical equipment and check for their accuracy.
· Follow and enforce the implementation of national laws and regulations related to medical devices and pharmaceutical product storage.
· Ensure safe, clean, and proper storage of all medical supplies and other medical equipment within the warehouse.
· Maintain proper storage and update inventory and stock cards.
· Facilitate the disposal of expired or damaged pharmaceutical waste according to the national EFDA waste disposal guideline.
· Preparing and submitting a monthly activity report to the immediate supervisor.
· Make sure that the medical supplies are arranged according to their expiration dates.
· Inventory of stock on a regular basis and recording of its results in stock cards
· Monitoring of medical supply quality and expiration dates
· Checking stock cards accuracy regularly and designing stock according to standards.
· Prevention of supply spoilage by internal and external factors.
· Understanding of the minimum and maximum stock levels.
· Regular checking of stock compounds and reporting of missed issues.
· Ensure proper ventilation and optimum temperature, and maintain documentation in the store.
Education: BSc degree in Pharmacy with 0-3 years of experience or Diploma in pharmacy with >3 years of experience
License: You should have renewed your professional License Certificate from EFDA.
Experience: a BSc degree in Pharmacy with 0-3 years’ experience or a diploma in pharmacy with >3 years experience
Working in pharmaceutical and medical device importing sector is mandatory.
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device supply industries.
Proven successful experience as a Store Manager
- Fluent in Amharic and English
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage time
- Can operate common office equipment
Must be proactive, diligent, vigilant, and a team player.
Should be able to contribute to brainstorming sessions and ensure the completion of all tasks.
