Julphar Pharmaceuticals PLC is a joint venture between Gulf Pharmaceuticals Industries (Julphar) U.A.E and MEDTECH Ethiopia, which is involved in the manufacturing of LIFE SAVING Drugs for the local Ethiopian market use as well as for export. Job Summary/Main Purpose:

Prepares food for employees. Helps devise new methods of cooking and new menu items. Streamlines work from back of house to front of house.

Main Responsibilities:

• Under the guidance of the General Service officer, Chief chef/cooker shall carry out the following duties:

• Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy

• Prepares foods to the specifications of the company

• Prepares food before the arrival of employees

• Makes adjustments foods when problems are raised

• Manages other employees in the kitchen

• Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service is perform properly

• Seasons food according to recipes or company needs

• Orders ingredients and spices as needed

• Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer

• Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on company preference

• Assists other cooks during the food assembly process

• Devises new recipes

• Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation

• Keeps records and accounts of food purchases

• cooks foods based on the kitchen atmosphere

• Meets with workers to ensure a great meal experience

• Stays open until the last customer leaves

• Cleans up after service hours

• Communicates with immediate supervisor about how to improve meal service

• Change dishes based on consumer suggestions or requirements

• Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities

• Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings

• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor

• Perform all additional manufacturing works as instructed by the General Service officer.

Job Requirements

Education and work experience:

• Certificate in food preparation and 2 years of related work experience at factory or hotel as Chief chef/cooker
