Job Description

HST Consulting is looking for experienced, energetic, and committed professionals for the following positions for one of its high-profile clients: JDAW Engineering Plc.  

HST is a knowledge company operating in Ethiopia which provides a broad range of professional services to clients across various industries. It supports its clients in solving their business growth, operational, human capital, financial, tax, governance, risk, and compliance related challenges through locally relevant solutions. One of the specific services that HST offers to its clients is the recruitment of the professional staff they need to fill their critical high-level leadership positions.

HST has been engaged by JDAW Engineering Plc to undertake the recruitment service for the following positions:

The position holder is expected to lead and manage the procurement and store management activities of the company.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, source, and executing all purchasing activities.

  • Based on general direction of immediate supervisor, plan, organize, and execute the day-to-day purchase of materials and services.

  • Initiate the timely submission of different work units’ need for various goods/items necessary for their day-to-day operation.

  • Participate in bid preparation and selection of suppliers.

  • Ensure that all foreign and local purchases are in compliance with regulations and laws of the country.

  • Make close follow of status of foreign purchases and shipments; organize and coordinate the timely and safe arrival of foreign goods through effective networking with Customs, banks, Insurance, Shipping lines, Ethiopian airlines.

  • Follow up the turnover of stock goods/items per the need request of various work units and takes appropriate action.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation on all purchases, contracts, list of current and potential suppliers, correspondence, and other related matters.

  • Coordinate with other work units to manage inventory levels.

  • Prepare monthly report on procurement and store management activities.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Head Count: 1 for each position     

Job Requirements

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • BA in Procurement and Supplies Management/Management/Accounting or related fields with 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
