Job Description

HST Consulting is looking for experienced, energetic, and committed professionals for the following positions for one of its high-profile clients: JDAW Engineering Plc.  

HST is a knowledge company operating in Ethiopia which provides a broad range of professional services to clients across various industries. It supports its clients in solving their business growth, operational, human capital, financial, tax, governance, risk, and compliance related challenges through locally relevant solutions. One of the specific services that HST offers to its clients is the recruitment of the professional staff they need to fill their critical high-level leadership positions.

HST has been engaged by JDAW Engineering Plc to undertake the recruitment service for the following positions:

The position holder is expected to provide full secretarial & office administrative services in an efficient and effective manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily secretarial & office administrative matters. 

  • Maintain the diary and arrange appointments as necessary.

  • Type and print reports, memos, minutes, letters etc and routine correspondence from dictation or written sources.

  • Screen and respond to all incoming telephone calls and act as appropriate.

  • Receive incoming letters and submit them to the CEO; distribute letters/any other material to concerned bodies as directed by the CEO.

  • Draft routine correspondence for approval and signature by the CEO.

  • Receive visitors to the office.

  • File all documents and maintain the office filing system and all personnel records.

  • Follow up of the implementation of the routine decisions made by the CEO.

  • Organize &make arrangements for weekly, monthly, and other periodic meetings in the CEO office.

  • Operate standard office equipment such as photocopier, Fax, etc.

  • Oversee the maintenance of secretarial standards throughout the company and contribute to the training of other secretaries.

  • Maintain and use stationary materials economically.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Head Count: 1 for each position     

Job Requirements

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • BA in Secretarial Science and Office Management or related fields with five (5) years of relevant experience.

  • Advanced skills in communication, especially written, in professional English and Amharic, electronic and manual (e.g., official letters, memos).

  • Advanced skills in communication technology including email, electronic calendar, and file management
