Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring;

• Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components and take corrective maintenance;

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem;

• Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules;

• Drawing up budgets, schedules, department as well as company’s regulations, and various other documents related with electricity;

• Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed as per the specifications;

• Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.

• Ensure the proper connection of electrical systems to power lines to provide electricity to the building;

• Reading technical diagrams and blueprints and perform general electrical maintenance works;

• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices;

• Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures;

• Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts;

• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information;

• Train junior workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures;

• Other tasks assigned by the immediate manager.

Requirements

Academic qualification

• Degree/Diploma in Electricity or other related fields;

Additional qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.

  • Ability to read electrical blue prints, use hand tools and power tools.

  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Physically able to conduct field works.

Years of experience: 5+ years and experience, in building residential construction is advantageous

Salary: As per the company scale
