BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for the attendance and smooth operation of the Emergency Electric Power Generators and the relevant facilities of the plant room. Also responsible for the daily, weekly and other planned preventive maintenance activities of Emergency Electric Power Generators & Fire Pump Generators, Generator Controls, Fuel Storage & Distribution Systems, Transformers and low voltage rooms.  Besides, the applicant is responsible for proper record keeping of the operation & performance parameters of the generators, fuel storages, transformers & all electrometers.

7.       MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications. Applicants without the below listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool.

EDUCATION: Diploma in General Electricity or Auto Mechanics from a recognized College/Vocational School.    

EXPERIENCE:  A Minimum of three years work experience on the operation and maintenance of diesel generators, generator control systems and medium voltage distribution systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: the individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.

·         Must possess good knowledge of reading & understanding electrical circuit diagrams and mechanical layout drawings.

·         Must have good English language skills to facilitate effective communication process.

·         Ability to work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments.

·         Must be capable of working in a team environment

·         Ability to learn new technology

GROOMING: Must present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
