Job Description
Under the supervision of the Chief Strategy and Information Management Unit, and the overall guidance of CHRO, the digital communications contractor will:
1) Act as focal point for reception and production of digital communication products and work with the Chief of Strategy and information management unit on the branding, consistency, and content of HRMS communications materials
2) Create compelling content including stories, blog posts, videos, infographics to effectively communicate HR projects, initiatives, policies, and procedures, etc.
3) Develop, design, and maintain external and internal digital content across multiple online platforms, including SharePoint Pages, ECA Intranet web sites, etc.
4) Provide regular training sessions on SharePoint design, update/upload of content to HRMS teams and units
5) Create and manage targeted digital communications campaigns to promote HR events, information, and services
6) Design and disseminate creative and branded HR assets such as banners, social media posts, bulletins, circulars, and e-mail templates using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
7) Design, create, edit and modify web pages and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
8) Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of all digital communications content for HRMS
9) Collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside HRMS to support the implementation of digital media and communication strategies for HR and ensure digital messages and relevant content is aligned with HRMS objectives
10) Monitor and track website traffic, engagement metrics, and other KPIs to continuously optimize digital content and improve performance and reach wider audiences within ECA
11) Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications/special skills
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, information and/or knowledge management or related areas
Minimum 3 years of experience in digital communications with a focus on internal HR communications
Proven experience working with SharePoint sites, managing, uploading, and sharing content
Proficiency in the use Microsoft office products, Canva, video editing and content management
A certification in the areas of graphic design, web design, knowledge management, or related areas is desirable
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For this role proficiency in English (written and oral) is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
