­Job summary

To operate, monitor, ensure production procedures are carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency of the machines and track their performance in order to achieve the company's production objectives.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust production line equipment, in accordance with established production standards as well as perform minor maintenance.

• Ensure crusher blades are safe by strictly followup sorting of scrap plastics, avoiding metal and non plastic materials

• Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift

• Work in assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after hour meetings as needed

• Follow all SOP’s and safety protocols before and while operation;

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the machine according to schedule provided by supervisors

• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance of  plastics recycling machine and auxiliary equipment

• Ensure the availability of raw materials necessary for extrusion and washing line

• Examines molded products for surface defects, such as dents, bubbles, thin areas, and cracks.

• Records data of manufactured material for quality control and improvement functions.

• Ensure continuous operation of automatic Extrusion machine by regulating pressure, temperature and cycle time

Job Requirements

Required Competencies

Working knowledge of diverse high-speed plastic extrusion, injection and crushing machineriesAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, calipers, rulers, micrometers etc).Good communication, organization, and time management skills.Team player and able to follow instructions from both management and peers.Ability to learn and operate new equipment.

Qualification

TVET graduate with level 3 and above in Industrial, Electrical and Mechanical fields Work Experience3-4 years of experience in plastic extrusion, injection molding, and recycling is preferred
