Job Description
Roles and responsibilities:
The LFS Technical Assistant(School Feeding Supervisor) is to lead, and tasked with facilitating, monitoring, supervising, and coordinating smooth operations which include stock management and Hygiene and sanitation management in day-to-day planning and implementation of the school feeding in the refugee camps. The school feeding supervisor will have the following Responsibilities: -

These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action.
Supervising Monitoring of kitchen, cooks, dinner hall, toilets, garbage pitch hygiene and sanitation situation better health.
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
Ensure proper filing of documents.
Implement delegated CC project portfolio according to plan of action.
Assess Education officer for proper filing of documents.
Ensure that school feeding beneficiaries most in need and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
Promote the rights of Refugees in line with the advocacy strategy.
Specific responsibilities
Provide support on quality implementation of school feeding activities in the refugee camps.
Preparation and facilitation for the teachers, PTSAs and feeding causals and school directors and the other line offices.
Support and follow up school feeding.
Regular monitoring of the implementation of school feeding against the plan.
Facilitate community sensitizations, community awareness on importance of education especially Girls’ education among the targeted communities and conduct parents meeting on control/decrease dropouts.
Data collection of all information related to students, teachers, attendance, and exam marks in community-based education activities and school feeding.
Advocacy for program/beneficiaries through develop of case studies/success stories.
Ensure all required materials for school feeding including all utensils.
Promote psychosocial support and new awareness-raising subjects on the protection of children.
Establishment of close work relationship with JDF staff
Prepare weekly report a SMART weekly plan and being accountable for the implemented activities through provide means of verifications (MoVs)
Support school feeding coordinator in overall implementation of school feeding and any other tasks as assigned by school feeding coordinator.
Monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance
Monitor and systematically document school feeding results jointly with partners and stakeholders.
Measure progress against log frame indicators at key points as well as to conduct quality assurance of key interventions and MEAL plan.
Other responsibilities
Represents the school feeding activities as necessary at all meetings on areas related to the feeding activities, and upon delegation.
In cooperation with the school feeding Coordinator, ensure proper documentation of school feeding experiences and lessons learned, best practices and achievements.
In cooperation with the school feeding team, provide information and inputs to be used for NRC feeding information and communication materials.
Help build documentation for evidence (case stories, best practices, studies, progress reports).
Undertake advocacy interventions (meetings, briefings) with woreda, and local stakeholders to increase investments in reading to improve literacy.
Generic professional competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, social sciences with 2 years of work experience.
Experienced humanitarian work, minimum three to five years of work.
Fluent in English, writing, reading, speaking, and comprehension skills.
Very good computer skills (MS Office)
Experience from working as a Project Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
