BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of Boilers, Generators, Diesel engine fire pump, Engine-driven equipment’s; and for mechanical maintenances of other systems that includes: Water treatment, LPG gas supply, hot water & steam supplies, fuel supply, irrigation, sewage, drainage, door lock & other mechanical systems, with the primary responsibility being the a Mechanic.

• The incumbent is responsible for the planned preventive maintenance & for the breakdown maintenances of all of the above mentioned systems being fully compliant with the safety standard; and with the repair & maintenance quality standard requirements. Also responsible to perform shift inspections to check and ensure the smooth operation of critical systems including & but not limited to: the hot water & steam production, storage & distribution systems; all water treatment plants as well as the fire suppression system.

Job Requirements

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications. Applicants without the below listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool.

• EDUCATION: Diploma in General Mechanics from a recognized Technical College or School.

• EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of three years solid work experience in related discipline.

• LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: ‘C’ grade in English language in E.S.L.C.E. other languages are advantageous.

• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Excellent knowledge of the products and services provided by the hotel, excellent guest contact & communication skills; food maintenance skills in Maintenance of Machineries & Equipments; working knowledge of electrical systems so that to handle minor assignments is required.

• GROOMING: Must present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
