 Who we are.

Splash International is a U.S.-based non-profit organization re-registered and licensed in Ethiopia as a foreign charity (certificate number 3038) by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Societies Organization (ACSO) in accordance with proclamation number 1113/2019 on June 3, 2019. Splash is at the forefront of a growing movement to ensure that children in urban poverty have the resources they need to thrive and reach their full potential. Splash designs child-focused water, sanitation, hygiene, and menstrual health and hygiene solutions (MHH) with governments in some of the world’s biggest cities.

Splash is dedicated to bringing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions to children living in urban poverty in Asia and Africa, improving their health and development through sustainable and scalable WASH solutions. Initiated in 2019, Project WISE (WASH in Schools for Everyone) aims to deliver comprehensive WASH infrastructure, behavior change activities, and menstrual health and hygiene services across all public schools in Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.

Splash has been implementing the project in Addis since 2019, Bahirdar since 2022 and is looking forward to replicating impact in Hawassa and Adama based on the lessons learned from Addis Ababa and Bahirdar. Through completion of the project in June 2024, all government schools in Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar will have clean drinking water; age-appropriate handwashing stations, behavior change programs, MHH services, and sanitation facilities that are cost-effective and fully managed by the local government.

 Essential Functions

You will work under the direct supervision of the Impact manager in close collaboration with the Impact team. More specifically, you will:

-              Attain the training and pretest organized by Splash

-              Internalize methods of quantitative and qualitative data collection and questionnaires.

-              Conduct quality interviews as per the guideline.

-              Properly utilize equipment’s and questionnaires for data collection.

 -             Properly manage completed questionnaires/ tools.

-              Ensure privacy and confidentiality of study subjects.

-              Attain daily review meetings organized by the Impact Manager

-              Comply with instructions by the supervisor/Impact manager

Job Requirements

·        Bachelor's or above in Health, Statistics, or other Social Science fields with at least 3 years of quantitative and qualitative data collection experience.

·        Experience using electronic data collection tools.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and knowledge of at least more than one local language is preferred.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit.

·        Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy, and attention to detail.
