Women Empowerment-Action (WE-Action) is an indigenous non- political, non- religious, non-profit, humanitarian and development-oriented organization working in Ethiopia to the improvement of the social, economic, and physical well-being of the poor women in particular and the community in general. Currently the organization is operating in three regions SNNPR, Oromia, and Amhara National Regional States.

Currently, WE-Action is seeking to hire competent, qualified and interested candidate for the position of Emergency and Humanitarian Response Project Coordinator who is responsible to the implementation PRE-project “Humanitarian action to protect the rights and durable solutions of the population affected by the Tigray conflict with a triple nexus approach” which is donated by Farmamundi, Wagihimra zone, Ethiopia.
General duties and responsibilities
The Emergency and Humanitarian Response Project Coordinator will be responsible for all operational aspects of the project ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s for the project; “Humanitarian action to protect the rights and durable solutions of the population affected by the
Tigray conflict with a triple nexus approach” within his/her designated project area including
handling manpower and budgetary aspects of the projects.
Program Implementation:
Ensure projects under coordination are implemented within time frame and quality through providing technical support and regularly follow up of field offices.
Ensure that projects/programs under coordination are implemented based on the designed implementation strategies.
Identify areas of capacity building of field staffs and come up with proposals to build project implementers capacity for timely and quality project implementations.
Work closely with admin & Finance section and Program offices in planning, budgeting and follow up proper utilization of budget and integration of program and finance plans and reports of project under her/his follow up.
Make a strong and continuous follow up of program implementations by setting weekly, Monthly & quarter action plans.
Assist Psychosocial and GBV management expert to develop and submit weekly and monthly action plans and updates for effective implementation of Projects.
Contribute to team’s adherence to internal polices and program management standards.
Make close follow up of program & financial status including developing program financial plans, monitoring the project budget and ensuring sound projects financial controls are in place, set project financial priorities accurately to ensure projects under coordination are operating in a manner that support the needs of the targets.
Represent WE- Action’s interests and program with external stakeholders, in concrete with the respective relevant teams.
Timely organize field staff and stakeholder’s appraisal workshop before implementation of projects.
Ensure proper documentation (in soft and hard copy) of projects under coordination.
Provide direct support and care for adult survivors of GBV and age-appropriate specialized support and care for adolescent, and girl child survivors of GBV, including counselling and case management.
Follow GBV guiding principles of respect, confidentiality, and safety/security and non- discrimination while providing services.
Ensure proper documentation of reported GBV incidences through utilization of GBV IMS case intake, action, follow up and other case management forms appropriately.
Ensure all documentations on reported cases and referrals made are updated, accurate, organized and well maintained by social workers.
Work with stakeholders to develop and strengthen referral networks and monitor the implementation of the referral pathway to improve survivors access to confidential, safe GBV services in a timely manner to meet their needs
Ensure adherence to GBV guiding principles and the provision of survivor-centered care (respect wishes, decisions of survivors).
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting:
Actively participate and collaborate with M&E section in the establishment of monitoring & Evaluation system of new and existing projects under coordination.
Make regular field visits to projects/programs under coordination for technical support at least one visit per quarter and provide reports
Facilitate and implement project mid and end term evaluations to be conducted by government signatories and external consultants.
Facilitate and participate program visit for government and funding partners
Compile, and submit quality projects’ monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Project Office Coordinator and government signatory offices
Document daily learning’s in Projects/programs including codifying lessons learned and knowledge of resources/tools/best practices, case studies etc
Gathering appropriate, relevant and accurate assessment /monitoring data from target groups and analyzing data and sharing reports using the guiding principles
Using project MEL plans consider the objectives and performance during regular monitoring visits and supervisions
Timely respond to request of data gathering and reporting for internal or external use
Work closely with M&E personnel and refer to M&E manuals while using tools or templates to gather evidence
Incorporate safeguarding and program participants risks during each monitoring visit and include in monitoring checklists
Compliance and Performance
Read, understand and strictly respect donors and government compliances and support field office to respect the required compliance.
Strictly follow and adhere to organizational policy and standardization manuals.
Gender and Social Inclusion and Accountability
Participate and contribute for organization gender and accountability work.
Plan, implement and report gender equality, social inclusions and accountability activities in respective projects/programs.
Accountability and transparency
Ensure that communications and products of WE-Action are visible in project area
Adhere to the organization accountability framework; communicate for employees for effective implementations.
Participate in external verification process of WE- Action Core Humanitarian Standards.
Conduct routine risk assessments, monitor and report any issues related to Safeguarding.
Create awareness to community, target groups and peers on safeguarding during weekly, monthly, and quarterly dialogue sessions.
Create awareness to community, target groups and peers on WE-Actions compliant Handling Mechanisms during weekly, monthly, and quarterly dialogue sessions.

Gather feedback and complaints on any concerns of the project implementation and organization and formally document and report back to field offices with a confidential and secure manner.
Duty Station: based in Wagihimra Zone, Sekota, with regularly travels to different sites within the target area.

Qualifications:
MA/MBA/BSc in Sociology, Psychology, Health and related field Studies
2 years related work experience in Health position in NGOs for MA/MSc
3 years’ work experience in Emergency and Humanitarian Response Project Coordinator position in NGOs for BA/BSc holders
