The ECX purchase officer is responsible for commodities purchases through Ethiopian commodity exchange platform for export trading and support the organization goals and objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall seeing Ethiopian Commodity exchange platform purchases as per plan

• Review and update daily market trend

• Reports availability of commodities in ECX on daily basis

• Communicating with different seller and buyer and update on daily prices

• Reporting on daily update of Coffee, Oil seeds & pulses buying system in ECX.

• Harvesting Period reports & experience

• Processing of Purchases & Delivery / collection documents of ECX purchases 

• ECX purchase training & news updating

• Excellent speed in computer data entries and bidding system

• Sincerity & discipline.

Job Requirements

• Good experience & track record of bulk coffee purchases from ECX

• Good experience of bulk purchases of oil seeds & pulses 

• Excellent communication skill

• Good knowledge of commodities quality / grades

• Strong relationship with ECX team & ECX sellers

• A dedicated, hardworking individual, with strong attention to details

• Integrity and good ethics
