2. Key responsibilities

  • Prepare job descriptions and post ads to attract qualified candidates.

  • Manage the hiring process from start to finish, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.

  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans to help new employees get up to speed quickly and smoothly.

  • Provide new employees with the information and resources they need to be successful in their roles.

  • Develop training and development programs that meet the needs of employees at all levels.

  • Provide employees with opportunities to learn new skills and grow their careers.

  • Assist managers with performance management processes, such as setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.

  • Support managers in managing disciplinary and grievance issues.

  • Help to resolve employee complaints in a fair and impartial manner.

  • Maintain employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

  • Protect the confidentiality of employee records.

  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Take steps to improve employment and working conditions as needed.

3. Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR, with a focus on pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Experience in processing payroll for large number of employees.

  • Proficient in MS Office, with a focus on Word and Excel.

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of HR functions, including pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.

4. Education • BA degree in Management and related fields

5. Experience • 3 years of work experience • Experience in retailing business is advantageous

\6. Language • Proficiency in English and Amharic is mandatory.
