Job Description
The accountant will support general accounting process for Pacific Construction Company PLC such as daily financial transactions and reporting, reconciliation of cash collections, facilitate payables, receivables, manage and effect payroll , and tax
Main duties and responsibilities
Manage the day to day accounting transaction with officers
Record daily sales transactions and expense with Peachtree
Undertake reconciliation and posting subsidiary ledgers with general ledgers
Prepare /Check cash payments and cash receipt voucher with the appropriate documents
Prepare ,Check , reconcile and declare Income tax, Pension Contribution, Withholding tax, cost sharing, stamp duty and VAT to the appropriate government Organization monthly
Maintain and control stock
Post incoming and outgoing stock into the system
Reconciling inventory accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
Prepare weekly, monthly, annual reports for inventory valuation
Prepare Journal Voucher monthly
Prepare and check daily laborer payroll Weekly/biweekly
Prepare Employee salary (including payroll reconciliation)
Preparation and follow up of Daily cash Flow
Follow up the status of customer by site (Customer follow up) and office rent periodically
Check cost sheet for the project (Site materials cost sheet)
Maintain fixed asset record
Prepare Import cost sheet and liquidation of GIT
Prepare Weekly and Monthly management reports
closing of annual financial report
Other duties assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements
B.A degree in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 7 years direct experience in merchandising, construction or manufacturing companies practicing with Peachtree Accounting software.

Good knowledge of accounting principles and practice with Ethiopia tax law
