• Perform vision tests and analyze results

• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness

• Diagnose and treat presbyopia.

• Do diagnostic tests like Visual filed, Biometry.

• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses as necessary.

• Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation

• Assist in patient examinations like doing Ocular Ultrasound, dilated funds copy…etc.

• Assist in minor and major surgeries.

• See emergency patients in the absence of Ophthalmologist

• Maintain and calibrate all diagnostic equipment’s in his/her working environment.

• Counsel pre-op and post op patients on their condition.

• Perform other related duties as advised by the supervisor.

• Maintain accurate medical files for all patients.

• Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques.

• Record all diagnosis and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions.
