Job Description

• Review the trial balance, detailed ledger accounts and monthly closing procedures.

• Prepare monthly management reporting including explanatory notes and discuss with management and shareholders.

• Provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior management to support decision making.

• Monitor budget versus actual financial performance, monitor monthly KPIs and propose means of improvement.

• Prepare forecast and provide input to the annual budget preparation.

• Responsible for the internal control, implementation and improvement of finance processes and procedures.

• Manage the reporting and control functions, including working capital management.

• Be involved in the preparation of the annual financial statements based on IFRS, provide supporting documentation and respond to external audit queries effectively.

• Be responsible for the reporting and evaluation of actual versus standard raw material consumption.

• Review the company’s operation; evaluate systems established, adhere to the company’s policies.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations with regard to the reporting and control team.

• Respond to ad-hoc requests from top management.

Job Requirements

• Education: Minimum of BA degree in accounting and finance from a recognized university.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience for a private organization of which minimum 2 years in a managerial position and a background in reporting and internal control.

• Technical skills:

fluent in Amharic and English (speaking and writing), analytical, strong financial knowledge and skills and knowledge of the relevant regulations, strong administration skills, proficient skills in using Microsoft office especially Excel and able to plan. effectively and efficiently.

• Social skills:

proven leadership skills, high level of integrity and accountability, able to adapt and show leadership under challenging circumstances, ambitious and hard-working, eager to learn, good feedback mentality, very strong communications skills, structured and a being team player.

• Candidates are required to have good references.

• Candidates who have worked for an international company and have experience in a FMCG company are preferred.
