Job Description

  • Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Includes managers in specialized construction fields, such as carpentry or plumbing.

Job Requirement

  • Qualification: Second/First degree in Civil Engineering / COTM/Hydraulic Engineering

  • Experience: 10/12 years related work experience of which 4 years in a similar position (s) and minimum 4 and above year of experience on design and review.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities of the position:

  1. Give proper guidance for the project office Engineers about handling of contractual issues

  2. Confirm the project sent contract data be approved by Resident Engineer

  3. Compile and prepare contract cost and time claim documents

  4. Prepare variations & supplementary agreement by collecting the relevant variations and supplementary data from Project Office Engineers.

  5. Follow-up payment of projects

  6. Prepare correspondences based on the binding general and specific conditions of contracts and follow-up causes.

  7. Design a document control procedure both at the head office and project level

  8. Continuously Follow-up monthly progress reports and performance of the Project v/s plan and extract clearly the cause of the deviation and take timely actions.

  9. Follow-up and Review the Work Schedule of projects.

  10. Preparation of summarized reports to the Technical and General Manager

  11. Work in conjunction with the other departments of the company

  12. Arrange proper communications with the Office Engineer of the relevant project

  13. Perform effectively the above and any other related orders forwarded from the General Manager, Technical Manager and other relevant departments

Other Competency Requirements

  • High Communication and leadership skill

  • Write and speak fluently in English, Afan Oromo and Amharic languages
