Job Description
The engineering head will be responsible for the management of the construction projects in order to achieve required project deliveries maintaining standards of health and safety, social and environmental impacts. He/she will deliver projects to specified quality in the required time schedule and allocated budget; whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded. Additionally, he/she will support and work collaboratively with other staffs in day-to-day management; giving directions and providing suggestions when necessary.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing each project and scheduling deliverables.
Overseeing and directing all projects from conception to completion.
Preparing cost-effective project plans to timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan.
Coordinating and directing construction departments and subcontractors.
Reviewing and evaluating work progresses on daily basis.
Documenting project progress reports for all projects on hand.
Monitoring compliances with construction and safety regulations.
Devising Capacity building and Knowledge transfer mechanisms.
Preparing engineering management manuals and procedures.
Preparing standard executive summary reports for weekly management meeting.
Arranging and participating in periodical meetings.
Working in close cooperation with other departments.
Reports to: DGM & CEO
Working Condition
Both in the office and construction site.
Six days in a week: from Monday to Saturday.
8 hours/day working time
Job Requirements
Education
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a Professional Licence
Experience
10 and above years in Construction Management and three and above years managerial experience
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of Technical requirements and Standards
Designing and Drawing Knowledge/Skill
Software skills:
AutoCAD, GIS, MS office
Management skill
Problem solving and Risk Management Skill
Reporting Skill
Communication Skill
