Established in 2021 by Skillmart Educational Development SC, SKILLMART ACADEMY is a Kindergarten School located at Kotebe 1 Fermata, adjacent to Woreda 12 Health Center operating with the aim of providing quality education. As part of its plan in diversifying its services in terms of quality and coverage, the Academy invites qualified and interested applicants in the following vacant positions.

Summary of Job Requirements:

Any successful candidate for this advertised KG Main Teacher position is expected to be passionate of education and possess unquestionable teaching and child caring skills which will help her create a conducive, nurturing classroom and learning environment for our KG students.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of students.

• Design and create effective lesson plans, visual aids and hands-on activities to facilitate learning. 

• Monitor students’ performance and assess their progress regularly 

• Habitually communicate students’ progress and other issues (if any) to the school management, parents and/or guardians on time;

• Establish and maintain a safe and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages curiosity;

• Encourage and motivate students to participate in classroom activities;

• Develop and maintain effective, respectful and professional relationship with students, colleagues, and families;

• Carry out other activities as required;

Job Requirements

Essential Competencies & Qualities

• Good knowledge of the Addis Ababa Education Bureau expectations and exposure to Private Schools’ operations;

• Excellent facilitation and networking skills; proven experience in coordinating & leading team/s;

• Oral & Written fluency in Amharic and English languages and good communication skill;

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to children;

• Excellent interpersonal & demonstrational skills;

• Unwavering patience and tolerance to children, faithfulness to work ethics as well as rules and regulations in all aspects

• Familiarity with and exposure to current educational technologies and tools

• Strong academic skills and proven ability to promote positive classroom behaviour

• Knowledge of childhood development psychology

• Excellent attention to details

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Diploma in Kindergarten Education or other related fields;

• A minimum of  2 years relevant professional experience as a KG teacher;
