Hope Enterprise University College (HEUC) is a higher education institution in Ethiopia, which is housed on five hectares of a beautiful, green and clean campus conductive for teaching-learning process and having student and faculty friendly environment. It is an accredited institution in three graduate programs namely, MBA, MSC in Accounting & Finance and MA in Organizational Leadership. It is also accredited in the following undergraduate programs: Architecture, Accounting and Finance, Management, Marketing Management and Computer Science.  

Duties and Responsibility 

• Reviews the material and social conditions of students and develops ways by which their wellbeing can be addressed. 

• Devises mechanisms that contribute to academic success and personal development of students. 

• Oversees all activities of student development and shall serve as a member of the Senate. 

• Mediates student counseling issues. 

• Identifies and devises means of support to women students and students from disadvantaged communities. 

• Identifies and devises means of support to students with disabilities.

• Attends to the special needs of female students. 

• Helps students understand their rights and obligations. 

• Registers and follows up student organizations. 

• Addresses critical learning, living and interpersonal problems that emerge on time. 

• In collaboration with the registrar contributes to the writing of the student handbook. 

• In close contact with the student parliament, plans and programs student services.

• Facilitates the physical and psychological well being of students through counseling.

• Arranges sports and recreational activities for students. 

• Solicits funds for needy students. 

• Serves as a source of information for students that need to rent rooms in the vicinity of the university college and monitor their life. 

• Manages the cost sharing program of the university college as regards students in need, stipends and part‐time employment. 

• Revises and gets printed student handbooks in collaboration with the various deans and the registrar. 

• Hosts the student ethics panel and overseeing the normal operation of the same. 

• Oversees and supports the student parliament.

• Appoints a judicial officer to the Student Ethics Panel 

• Manages all services of students on campus and liaises with community facilities where students can get support during day, evening and summer programs of the university college. 

• Manages the Office of Student Life as the highest ranking official on student affairs in the university college. 

• Upholds to the values, vision and mission of Hope Enterprises and Hope University College and ensures the advancement of the same at the university college. 

• Takes other assignments as given to him by the VPAA.

Job Requirements

Qualification 

• MA in Social Science and related fields.   

• At least five-year experience at  Higher Education Institution and/ Two-Year experience as a dean of student
