Job Description
Job position: Recovery/collection Officer:
We are looking for a collections/Recovery officer to assist with the collection of revenue and outstanding debts. You will be responsible for managing timely the collection of revenue and outstanding debts from clients, and will contact clients and inform them of their debts, negotiate payment plans, and ensure payments are made as soon as possible. You will also be required to institute legal action when payments are not made.
Roles and Responsibilities:
§ Plan course of action to recover owed money;
§ Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans;
§ Build trust with clients;
§ Handle clients' questions or complaints, or any other options;
§ Keep tracking outstanding debts;
§ Provide final written or verbal warning notice to clients when payments are not being made;
§ Provide appropriate recommendations to the company; and
§ Institute legal action when clients fail to pay their debt.
§ Excellent negotiating and persuasion skills;
§ Great interpersonal and communication skills;
§ Possess high behavioral standards, and can work independently;
§ Previous experience working as a Collections Officer;
§ Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, or a similar field;
§ Patience and resilience; and
§ Very aggressive and influential person.
Place of work: Addis Ababa, and occasional field travel to regions.
Salary: Negotiable
