Job Duties
Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
Provides overall leadership for all Samaritan’s Purse personnel in the area office and bases.
General knowledge of emergency response protocols.
Working with Country Director (CD), coordinates all programs and support-related personnel in the assigned geographic area.
In coordination with Senior Operations Manager (SOM), provides broad oversight for all operational aspects in support of ongoing projects.
Represents Samaritan’s Purse in community relations and cultivates productive relationships through networking with government, local churches, UN, and other NGOs.
Seeks out programming funding opportunities and resources to address area needs and assist Senior Program Manager and Program Development Officer. in project design and proposal development.
Guides efforts to optimize efficiencies, minimize fraud, and reduce risks in all area activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working in complex areas, particularly in Africa. Twelve credit hours of college level biblical studies is strongly preferred. Twelve credit hours of college level biblical studies is strongly preferred.
Spiritual maturity; ability to lead direct reports in their growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office.
Strong organizational and supervisory skills
General knowledge of emergency response protocols
Job Location: Somali,Ethiopia
