Job Description
Legal officers are responsible for ensuring that the legal affairs of their organization are handled appropriately and in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. They commonly provide counsel on a wide range of issues, including contract negotiations, corporate governance, compliance with regulations, etc.
Job Requirement
Qualification & Experience: The minimum experience and training required for this position are a minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing legal officer in private company. Bachelor of Law Degree from a recognized university or legal Institution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
performing legal work, appear in court, provide legal advice and opinions, and draft legal documents on the more complex legal matters involving the Ministry/Department. The incumbent also assists in planning, organizing, and preparing the work program of the Unit/Division. attends meetings to give professional legal advice. They prepare and/or review legal opinions, review legal/court documents for completeness and accuracy.
