About the position

Duties and responsibilities

• The Logistics and Supply Chain Management expert is responsible for logistics and supply chain activities planning and developing logistics and supply chain plans to support project implementation. 

• Ensure that procurement-related deliverables for project activities are achieved on schedule, in accordance with approved specifications, and within the allocated budget. Monitor and track all project procurement activities. 

• Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.

• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

• Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery).  

• Keep records of the logistics and supply management process and maintain accurate physical and electronic documentation and requisite authorizations in accordance with company policy.

• Provide the required procurement-related administrative support for the project manager as requested by the manager.

• Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the logistics and supply chain.  

• Find cost-effective solutions for logistics and supply chain processes Implementing the tools or techniques that are related to logistics and supply chain management processes for a more effective and easier job performance.

• Maintain an inventory of project assets and equipment and the provision of office supplies and consumables.  

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education

• BA in Purchasing and Supplies Management/Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related fields of study.

Other professional qualifications

Highly recommended professional certificates:

• Customs Clearing.

• Excellent knowledge of international trade.

• Excellent knowledge of logistics and supply chain management practice. 

• Broad knowledge and experience in logistics and supply management strategies, market analysis techniques, procurement and contracting, property, and asset management.

• Experience as a logistics and supply chain management expert.

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. 

• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
