About the Organization
Development for Peace Organization (DPO) is an Ethiopian National Civil Society Organization, established in Addis Ababa 2020. The organization is officially registered in accordance with legislation on Agency for Civil Society Organization by the registration number of 5164 with mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged people through increasing their access to Health and Education services, supporting Income Generation and improving the natural environment, WaSH, one to one sponsorship, Humanitarian Response program and Peace and Reconciliation by applying a holistic and participatory approach.
Job Summary
The Program Officer is responsible for supporting all health and nutrition activities. In addition to the specific duties outlined below, the Program Officer will be responsible for providing technical support and supervision to the team; contributing to reporting and data collection; initiating leading monitoring visits to supported facilities; and providing technical input, writing and budgetary input for new program design. The Program Officer will support multiple health and nutrition grants in the area and will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of activities.
S/he will assist in the development of work plans, support the team and management to ensure adherence to proposed budgets as well as to build and maintain relationships with local communities.
Works closely with the Program Director and Sr. Program Officer, build and maintain partnerships and relationships with program partners, donors, federal agencies and community organizations.
Participate in the development of project Implementation Plan, training manual/curricula and other various standard operational procedures (SoP).
Assist in developing and monitoring annual work plans, program initiatives and budget development.
Support effective project management, coordination and provide support to partners on the project implementation procedure, data management and effective financial management.
Provide support as needed, the preparation and timely submission of detailed reports by the partners on project activities on a quarterly and annual basis in compliance with project requirements.
Support the development of annual, quarterly donor and government report writing including management and updates.
Assist in collection of data to inform and support Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Research related activities.
Represent the DPO in different project at various meetings, technical working groups and relevant forums.
Provide support to all program activities for the state office.

Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Nutrition
Work Experience
Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience in program, project development, coordination and coordinating multiple partners and stakeholders
Previous experience with managing nutrition programming (TSFP, OTP) is strongly recommended
Essential Competencies & Skill
Demonstrated strength and experience in writing technical reports
Excellent written and oral communications skills; fluency in English language is essential
Strong critical thinking skills, ability to solve problems and resourcefulness
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
Strong computer skills
Demonstrated project management experience including budget development, event planning, coordinating multiple partners and stakeholders
