Purpose:

This managerial position is established to perform the following purposes.

1. Create & implement best practice of maintenance strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance of BCL and Leaf machineries.

2. Lead the BCL and Leaf operation projects that has impact on the maintenance activities.

3. Lead the Civil, Electrical & Mechanical maintenance of buildings & offices in line with ASAP.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Ensure the creation and implementation of best practice of maintenance strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance of BCL and Leaf machineries.

• Plans, coordinates, supervises and executes preventive, planned and unplanned mechanical / electrical maintenance work on BCL, all tobacco processing (curing) machinery, implements, tractors, boilers, generators as per schedule in order to guarantee sustainable service and longevity; conducts studies to reduce excessive downtime and ensures any maintenance records are recorded, organized & kept with proper filing.

• Plans, Coordinates, supervises and executes all project works in accordance with designed, specification and BOQ.

• Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in areas of responsibility.

• Prepares annual budget for manpower, machinery, spare parts and other material requirements for Mechanical & Electrical maintenance and make the necessary follow-up; ensures availability and timely adequate supply of mechanical & electrical maintenance spare parts, equipment, tools, materials and consumable.

• Prepares technical specifications for acquisition or external services of machinery, implements, workshop equipment's, tools and spare parts.

• Ensures that all EHS procedures and regulations are strictly implemented on the Maintenance works and ensures working area cleanness, hygiene & proper setup& arrangement.

Other

• Manages various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

Job Requirements

Education:

• BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering.

Work Experience:

• 8 years of work experience in Agro Mechanical or Mechanical Maintenance.
